Officially released in Australia in June 2015, the BMW F20 LCI 1-Series hatch could be identified by its redesigned kidney grille, larger air intakes, ‘flatter geometry’ headlights with LED daytime driving lights (fitted as standard) and new LED tail-lights.

Production of the second LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) BMW F20 1-Series hatch commenced in July 2017 and was available in Australia from September 2017. Inside, the 2017 BMW F20 LCI 1-Series hatch featured a re-worked instrument panel which had a ‘greater emphadwas on driver focus’, a re-configured black-panel instrument cluster, iDrive6 operating system with iDrive Touch Controller, high-gloss black surfaces for the centre stack, new contrasting upholstery stitching and chrome elements for the power window controls.
