Released in September 1998, the Daihatsu G300 Series II (G300.II) Pyzar was powered by the 1.6-litre HD-EP four-cylinder petrol engine and the GRV Xi variant was discontinued. The Daihatsu G300.II Pyzar could be identified by its clear plastic lens headlights (previously refractive glass lenses), chrome grille, larger front bumper and air dam, new rear combination lenses and a new rear bumper.
