Released in July 2002, the Mitsubishi CG Lancer was a small, front-wheel drive sedan. Manufactured in Japan, the CG Lancer was powered by an all-new 2.0-litre 4G94 four-cylinder petrol engine which had a single overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder. Transmission options consisted of four-speed automatic and five-speed manual units. The CG Lancer range initially consisted of the LS, VRX and auto-only Exceed variants.
