Released in December 2001, the Nissan D22 Series IV (D22.IV) Navara utility introduced a new 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine and a sports variant (the ‘ST-R’). The suspension was also revised for improved ride comfort and handling and other changes were made to reduce noise, vibration and harshness. In March 2003, the range was further expanded with the introduction of a 3.3-litre V6 petrol engine.
