Released in October 2006, the Toyota XV40 Series I (XV40.I) Aurion was a large, front-wheel drive sedan. Released in September 2009, the Toyota XV40 Series II (XV40.II) Aurion introduced additional features and minor cosmetic changes. For the latter, the Toyota XV40.II Aurion could be identified by its new front mask (including new bumpers, grilles, upgraded headlamps and fog lamp surrounds), faster-acting LED brake and tail lamps and new wheel designs. Inside, there were new colour combinations and improved instruments, lighting and storage spaces.
