Overview

Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Generally, manufacturers will inform the original buyers if their vehicle is subject to a recall and of the steps required to remedy the defect or fault. Recalls: Abarth 124 Spider

2016-19 Abarth 124 Spider: software update for transmission control module

In May 2019, recall campaign 6222 was issued for Abarth 124 Spider vehicles that were available for sale from 1 October 2016 to 9 May 2019. These vehicles had incorrect software for the transmission control module and, to fix, the software was to be updated. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17549.

2018 Abarth 124 Spider: fuel pump failure

In May 2022, recall campaign 6398 was issued for 2018 Fiat Abarth 124 Spider vehicles. Due to a manufacturing fault, the fuel pump inside the fuel delivery module could fail. This condition could cause a loss of engine power which, in turn, increased the risk of collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. To fix, the fuel pump was to be replaced.
