Recalls: Daewoo Cielo

Overview

Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Generally, manufacturers will inform the original buyers if their vehicle is subject to a recall and of the steps required to remedy the defect or fault. Please note that the recalls below (if any) are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Recalls: Daewoo Cielo

  • In January 1998, a recall was issued for Daewoo Cielo GL variants vehicles manufactured prior to 12 December 1995 and in the VIN range SB588045 to TB681783. For these vehicles, the fuel damper may come into contact with a brake line (near the brake master cylinder), resulting in damage to the brake line to the extent that fluid can escape (PRA 1998/3434).
  • In May 1998, a recall was issued for Daewoo Cielo vehicles manufactured prior to 31 December 1996. For these vehicles, the front seatbelt buckle may suffer from difficult latching or de-latch intermittently (PRA 1998/3557).
