2015-18 model year Fiat 500X: faulty rear seat latches
In August 2018, a recall was issued for 2015-18 model year Fiat 500X vehicles because they may have had faulty rear seat latches. If the rear seatbelts were not fastened and the vehicle was involved in a collision, this could cause the rear seats to unlatch and unintentionally fold forward. Furthermore, if a child restraint was fitted using the ISOFIX anchors and not the seatbelt, the child restraint could be impacted by the folding seat. These circumstances could cause injury to vehicle occupants, including children in child restraints which used the ISOFIX anchors rather than the seatbelts. For the VINs of the recalled Fiat 500X vehicles, please see PRA 2018/16940.
