  • In September 2001, a recall was issued for Honda ZE1 Insight vehicles due to faulty terminal connections which could cause the headlamps to become inoperative (PRA 2001/4936).

Problems and faults: Honda ZE1 Insight

  • Poor air conditioning performance could be due to the air-conditioning suction hose collapsing internally.
  • The rear wiper could interfere with the operation of the radio – this could be fixed with a new sub-harness wiring assembly.
  • If the hood release was pulled up instead of straight out, it could get bent, making its release difficult and potentially requiring its replacement.
