2019 Lexus XV70 ES 300h: loss of power braking assistance

In July 2019, recall campaign UGG33 was issued for Lexus XV70 ES 300h vehicles that were manufactured from 9 May 2019 to 14 May 2019. The brake booster pumps in these vehicles may have been manufactured improperly and this could cause power braking assistance to cease while driving. If the brake booster pump stopped operating, multiple warning lights and messages would illuminate, and/or audible chimes may sound. Furthermore, power braking assistance could be lost completely after several brake pedal applications. As such, the vehicle’s stopping distance would increase and this increased the risk of a collision. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17710.

2018-19 Lexus XV70 ES 300h: low-pressure fuel pump may stop working

In November 2020, recall campaign VGG05 was issued for Lexus XV70 ES 300h vehicles that were manufactured from July 2018 to February 2019. In these vehicles, the low-pressure fuel pump could stop operating – if this occurred, the engine may stall and the vehicle may not restart; alternatively, the engine may not run smoothly. Beyond this, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel. To fix, the low-pressure fuel pump was to be replaced. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2020/18243.
