Recalls: Rolls-Royce Mk.III Flying Spur

  • In August 1995, a recall was issued for Rolls-Royce Mk.III Flying Spur vehicles that were manufactured between May 1995 and July 1997. In these vehicles, an incorrectly positioned wire within the gearbox actuator could chafe against the cover, causing the transmission selector fuse to blow. If this occurred, the driver would be unable to change gears or put the vehicle in park (PRA 1995/2555).
  • In December 1995, a recall was issued for Rolls-Royce Mk.III Flying Spur vehicles because identified batches of Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil (HSMO) may affect the operation of the distribution valves within the hydraulic systems (PRA 1995/2649).
