Review: Peugeot T1.I 206 CC (2001-04)
Overview
Released in October 2001, the Peugeot T1 Phase I (T1.I) 206 CC was a two-door convertible with a retractable hardtop roof. Manufactured by Peugeot in Mulhouse, France, and coach-builder Heuliez in Cerizay, France, the front-wheel drive 206 CC was available with 1.6- and 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines.
Compared to the 206 hatchback on which it was based, the 206 CC was the same length (at 3835 mm), 41 mm wider (1673 mm) and 59 mm lower (1373 mm), though wheelbase length (2442 mm) was also unchanged. The 206 CC had triangulated pseudo MacPherson strut front suspension and independent rear suspension with trailing arms and transverse torsion bars.
The retractable hardtop roof consisted of two retractable panels jointed by two articulated arms. The roof was power operated and could be lowered in approximately 30 seconds, but required two latches to be unlocked before doing so. With the roof lowered, boot space decreased from 410 litres to 175 litres.

Safety equipment
Standard safety equipment for the 206 CC included dual front airbags, front side airbags, ABS, electronic brake force distribution and front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters. From June 2002, brake assist was fitted as standard.
Brakes
The 206 CC had 266 mm ventilated front brake discs and 247 mm solid rear discs.
Features
Standard features for the 206 CC included 15-inch alloy wheels, a six speaker sound system with a CD player, climate control air conditioning, remote central locking, power windows and heated mirrors, a heated rear window, tilt adjustable steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat and an immobiliser.
Models with 2.0-litre engines were further equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers.
Review: Peugeot T1.II 206 CC (2003-07)
Overview
Commencing production in April 2003 and available in Australia from June 2003, the T1 Phase II (T1.II) 206 CC could be identified by its honeycomb mesh lower grille, clear polycarbonate headlight lenses, uniform coloured tail-lights and rear chrome Peugeot badge.

Features
Standard features for the 206 CC were extended to include front and rear fog lights and power adjustable front seats with memory settings. Alloy wheels, however, were made optional on the 1.6-litre models to offset price cuts.
