Review: Renault X70.I Master van (2004-07)

Overview

Released in August 2004, the Renault X70 Phase I (X70.I) Master van range consisted of four variants which were designated by their wheelbase (L1, L2 and L3) and roof heights (H1 and H2). The range also consisted of Integral and Air editions, though the Integral was discontinued in 2004.

Initially, all models were powered by a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. In May 2005, however, a semi-automatic ‘Quickshift’ transmission was introduced which featured two driving modes: a flick-shift manual mode and a full automatic mode.
