Released in October 2000, the Daihatsu J102 Terios was powered by a new 1.3-litre K3-VE petrol engine with double overhead camshafts, variable valve timing, distributorless ignition and sequential fuel injection. Visually, the J102 Terios could be identified by its vertical grille bars, new bumpers, tail-lights and wheel covers.
