Released in October 2017, the Hyundai LF.II Sonata introduced a simplified range as the Sonata Elite was discontinued. More significantly, however, the 2.0 Turbo GDi engine was mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Visually, the Hyundai LF.II Sonata could be identified by its ‘Cascading Grille’, narrower headlights that were recessed in the front fenders, chiselled airdam, vertical Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and revised rear mask with slimmer tail-lights.
