Released in August 2001, the Mitsubishi UG Series II (UG.II) Nimbus introduced additional safety equipment and features. The Mitsubishi UG.II Nimbus could be identified by its colour-coded grille, exterior door handles, bumper corners and side protection mouldings, and a revised rear tailgate garnish. Inside, there was two-tone Slate trim.
