Released in April 2009 (but also available from 2008 as a private import), the Nissan R35 GT-R was a high performance coupe. Manufactured in Tochigi, Japan, the GT-R was powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 petrol engine (Nissan’s VR38DETT) which had an aluminium cylinder block, plasma-sprayed cylinder liner bores, aluminium pistons, dual overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder and variable intake-valve timing.
