Released in May 2007, the Renault X76 Phase II (X76.II) Kangoo featured more powerful engines and improved equipment levels. As part of the update, a front passenger airbag, ABS, electronic brake force distribution and brake assist were fitted as stadnard. In February 2008, the X76.II Kangoo line-up was expanded with the introduction of a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine that was mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
