Reeleased in August 2006, the Suzuki JB Series II (JB.II) Grand Vitara introduced an expanded range as the 2.7-litre models with automatic transmissions were offered in a Prestige variant. In 2008, the range was expanded with five-door Grand Vitara models that were powered by 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engines; for these models, a five-speed manual transmission was fitted as standard.
