Released in March 2004, the Suzuki RH4 Series II (RH4.II) Liana sedan and hatchback featured a more powerful 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with variable valve timing, updated interior and improved safety equipment. Inside, the RH4.II Liana featured a new dashboard with analogue instruments, new black seat cushion material and more supportive front. In September 2004, the Suzuki RH4.II Liana underwent a minor cosmetic update with new headlights, grille, front bumpers, alloy wheel designs and, for hatchback models, tail-lights.
