Review: Citroën G9C Dispatch (2008-12)

Overview

Released in April 2008, the Citroën Dispatch was a two seat van that was available in short and long wheelbase models. Manufactured in Valenciennes, France, the front-wheel drive Dispatch was powered by 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The short wheelbase models were 4805 mm long, 2194 mm wide, 1942 mm tall and had 3000 mm long wheelbases; the long wheelbase models, however, were 5135 mm long and had 3122 mm long wheelbases (more dimensions below). Furthermore, the Dispatch had twin rear barn doors and twin side-sliding doors.

The Dispatch had MacPherson strut front suspension with triangulated rear arms and an anti-roll bar and independent, coil-sprung trailing arm rear suspension with a semi-flexible transverse beam and an offset Panhard rod. As an option, pneumatic rear suspension was offered to maintain ride height regardless of load.
