2012-13 Citroen C4 Aircross: windscreen wiper motor failure
In September 2017, a recall was issued for Citroen C4 Aircross vehicles that were available for sale from 1 June 2012 to 29 November 2013. In specific vehicles, the windscreen wiper motor venting device may not comply with specifications such that water could enter the wiper motor, cause internal corrosion and the motor could lock up. If the front windscreen wiper motor failed in wet weather, the diver’s visibility would be adversely affected and the risk of a collision would increase. For the VINs of the recalled Citroen C4 Aircross vehicles, please see PRA 2017/16309.
2013 Citroen C4 Aircross: parking brake may not engage
IIn January 2019, recall campaign GJC was issued for 2013 model year Citroen C4 Aircross vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 2 January 2013 to 31 December 2013. In these vehicles, the parking brake lever and actuating spindle on the rear callipers could be corroded. Since these parts were necessary to engage the park brake, the parking brake may not work effectively and this posed collision and injury risks to occupants and other road users. To fix, the two rear brake callipers were to be checked and, if necessary, replaced. For the VINs of the recalled Citroen C4 Aircross vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17274.
