Holden XC Barina 1.4i: loose camshaft retaining bolts

For Holden XC Barina models with the 1.4-litre petrol engine, the camshaft retaining bolts could come loose. This problem was believed to be confined to a batch of engines whose engine numbers began with 19F#####. In 2010, Vauxhall acknowledged this problem by issuing a ‘non-code action’ for Vauxhall Corsa C – as the XC Barina was marketed in the UK – vehicles because the camshaft bolts may not have been tightened to specification (NCA/2010/024).
