  • In December 2002, a recall was issued for Honda GH2/GH4 HR-V vehicles due to the rear mudguards (or mudflaps) which provided insufficient coverage to comply with ADR 42/03 clause 15.2.2 (PRA 2002/5872).

Problems and faults: Honda GH2/GH4 HR-V

  • For Honda HR-V models fitted with the continuously variable transmission (CVT), there may be a shudder when accelerating from rest due to additives in the transmission fluid becoming depleted and causing the starter clutch to remain engaged. As such, the transmission fluid should be drained and replaced with CVT fluid.
