Recalls: Honda GK5 Jazz
Overview
Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Recalls: Honda GK5 Jazz
In September 2015, a recall was issued for 2015 ‘model year’ Honda GK5 Jazz vehicles that had continuously variable transmissions. In these vehicles, CVT programming which used high hydraulic pressure may subject the drive pulley shaft to high stress during operation. The high stresses combined with a shaft of lower hardness may cause the shaft to break during use. If this occurred, the vehicle may lose acceleration or the front wheels may lock up while driving, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
