2019 Hyundai QX Venue: loose wheel nuts
In November 2019, recall campaign 91C064 was issued for Hyundai Venue vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 1 July 2019 to 31 August 2019. The wheel nuts for these vehicles may not have been tightened correctly and this could cause the wheels to become loose and risk falling off. If this occurred, the steering and drivability of the vehicle would be compromised – this increased the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17928.
2020-22 Hyundai QX Venue: seat belt pre-tensioner inflator may fracture
In September 2022, recall campaign 21D089 was issued for 2020-22 Hyundai QX Venue vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the seat belt pre-tensioner inflator may fracture when deployed in the event of a collision. If this occurred, metal fragments may be propelled at high speed towards vehicle occupants – this posed a risk of serious injury. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005535.
