Infiniti H15 Q30: unintentional deployment of driver’s airbag
In November 2017, a recall was issued for Infiniti H15 Q30 vehicles because the steering column may not have an electrical connection to ground other than a spiral cable. If the spiral cable was damaged, then the airbag warning light would illuminate. If the driver ignored the warning light and continued to drive for extended periods, electrostatic charge may accumulate in the steering wheel. In limited circumstances, this charge could be discharged through the electrical circuit of the driver’s airbag and this could trigger an unintended deployment of the driver’s airbag. For the VINs of the recalled Infiniti H15 Q30 vehicles, please see PRA 2017/16412.
2016-17 Infiniti H15 Q30: error in Owner’s Manual
In December 2018, recall campaign PG8BQ was issued for Infiniti H15 Q30 vehicles that were manufactured from April 2016 to February 2017. If consumer followed the incorrect information in the Owner’s Manual, it could lead to misuse of the rear door child lock. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2018/17194.
