Infiniti V37 Q60 Coupe: indication of automatic transmission failure not programmed in ECM

In December 2017, a recall was issued for Infiniti V37 Q60 Coupe vehicles that had 3.0-litre VR30DDTT twin-turbo petrol engines. In these vehicles, the function to indicate automatic transmission failure was not programmed in the electronic control module (ECM) due to a mismatch of on-board diagnosis communication architecture between the new ECM and the old controlled area network (CAN). As a result, the malfunction indicator light (MIL) would not illuminate and the driver would not be aware of the concern – this may be an emissions regulation non-compliance. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2017/16430.
