2021 Kia KA4 Carnival: damaged fuel supply pipe could leak fuel

In June 2021, recall campaign 211056 was issued for 2021 Kia KA4 Carnival vehicles. During manufacturing, the fuel supply pipe may have been damaged and this could result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak could cause an engine compartment fire which could cause increase the risk of a collision, injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users. 2021 Kia KA4 Carnival: right sliding door may not latch and could open while driving

In December 2021, recall campaign 211152 was issued for 2021 Kia KA4 Carnival vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the locking mechanism on the right-hand sliding door may not latch and could remain stuck in the open position. If this occurred, the door could open while driving – this increased the risk of a collision and injury to both vehicle occupants and other road users. 2020 Kia KA4 Carnival: potential fuel leak and fire hazard

In April 2022, recall campaign 221003 was issued for 2020 Kia KA4 Carnival vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, a fuel leak may occur from the low-pressure fuel line hose clamp. If this occurred, a fire could occur in the engine compartment – this posed a risk of injury to vehicle occupants and other road users, and a risk to property. 2020-23 Kia KA4 Carnival: power sliding doors may not warn occupants when operating

In May 2023, recall campaign 231021 was issued for 2020-23 Kia KA4 Carnival vehicles. In these vehicles, the power sliding door system may not warn occupants when it was operating. If a vehicle occupant was unaware that the power sliding doors were operating, it could increase the risk of injury. For this recall, a Kia dealer was to update the Power Sliding Door software. 2023 Kia KA4 Carnival 2.2 CRDi: loss of motive power and/or engine stalling

In January 2024, recall campaign 231140 was issued for 2023 Kia KA4 Carnival 2.2 CRDi vehicles. Due to incorrect manufacturing of an engine wiring harness, a poor connection may occur at the crankshaft position sensor. This could cause a loss of motive power and/or engine stalling, which increased the risk of a collision and injury for vehicle occupants and other road users.
