2017 Kia YB Rio: child lock may not engage

In April 2018, a recall was issued for 2017 Kia YB Rio vehicles. In these vehicles, the cable length of the rear door lock assemblies may not have met specification. As a result, the child lock may not engage, even when it gave the appearance of having been engaged, such that the rear doors could be opened. For the VINs of the recalled Kia YB Rio vehicles, please see PRA 2018/16746.

2017 and 2018 model year Kia YB Rio: incorrect towbar label

In September 2018, recall campaign A00026 was issued for 2017 and 2018 model year Kia YB Rio vehicles. For these vehicles, the towbar label specified incorrect load ratings and this could result in the towbar being used to tow objects above its maximum weight. If the towbar was overloaded, it could separate from the vehicle and pose a collision hazard for other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2018/17010.
