Recalls: Lamborghini Huracán
Overview
Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Generally, manufacturers will inform the original buyers if their vehicle is subject to a recall and of the steps required to remedy the defect or fault. Please note that the recalls below (if any) are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.

2022 Lamborghini Huracan: external handles may not open left door
In July 2022, recall campaign L62X-R.03.22 was issued for 2022 Lamborgini Huracan EVO and STO variants. Due to improper assembly during production, the left door latching mechanism may have been incorrectly positioned and could become loose over time. As a result, the left door may not be able to be opened using the external handles. In the event of an emergency, first responders may therefore be unable to assist vehicle occupants and this may increase the risk of injury or death. To fix, the safty clip positioning was to be corrected. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005469.
2022-23 Lamborghini Huracan: seatbelt reminders not working below 20 km/h
In November 2023, recall campaign L62X-R.03.23 was issued for 2022-23 Lamborghini Huracan EVO, STO and Tecnica vehicles. Due to an incorrect software configuration, the driver’s seatbelt reminder chime and visual indicator would not activate as intended below 20 km/h. This may result in the driver not being reminded to ensure their seatbelt was buckled when operating the vehicle below 20 km/h. However, the seatbelt reminders operated properly above 20 km/h. If a collision occurred and the driver’s seatbelt was not securely buckled, the occupant would not be restrained and this increased the risk of injury. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005834.
2023-24 Lamborghini Huracan: software update for high beam headlamp setting
In April 2024, recall campaign L62X-R.02.24 was issued for 2023-24 Lamborghini Huracan EVO, Sterrato, STO and Tecnica vehicles. Due to a software issue, the high beam headlamp setting may not operate as intended – this could result in reduced or poor visibility. This condition could affect the night vision of driver, increasing the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. To fix, a Lamborghini dealer was to update the vehicle’s software. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005941.
