Recalls: Lotus Series II Elise
Overview
Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Recalls: Lotus Series II Elise
- In March 2006, a recall was issued for Lotus Series II Elise vehicles fitted with six-speed manual transmissions and manufactured from January 2004 to February 2005. In these vehicles, the gear lever could break if subject to high handling forces (PRA 2006/8408).
- In November 2014, a recall was issued for Lotus Series II Elise vehicles that were powered by the 2ZZ-GE engine. In these vehicles, oil may leak from oil cooler hoses and pose a risk of fire. The VINs of the recalled vehicles are available at PRA 2014/14425.
