Recalls: Maserati M145 GranCabrio
Overview
Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Recalls: Maserati M145 GranCabrio
Maserati M145 GranCabrio: rear brake lights
In March 2012, a recall was issued for Maserati GranCabrio models due to the rear brake lights potentially not meeting their specifications. For a list of the VINs of the affected vehicles, please see PRA 2012/13067.
Maserati M145 GranCabrio: tyre pressure monitoring ECU
In November 2012, a recall was issued for Maserati M145 GranCabrio vehicles due a defect in the tyre pressure monitoring electronic control unit which could cause it to give a false reading. For a list of the VINs of the affected vehicles, please see PRA 2012/13358.
2016 model year Maserati M145 GranCabrio: door latch mechanisms
In November 2015, a recall was issued for ‘2016 model year’ Maserati GranCabrio vehicles. In these vehicles, the door latch mechanisms may not have received sufficient heat treatment. The doors may therefore open in the event of a vehicle collision, increasing the risk of injury to the occupants (PRA 2015/15066). The VINs of the recalled Maserati GranCabrio vehicles were as follows:
- GranCabrio MC MY16: ZAMVM45D000165003;
- GranCabrio MC MY16: ZAMVM45D000170296;
- GranCabrio Sport MY16: ZAMVM45D000169497; and,
- GranCabrio Sport MY16: ZAMVM45D000169501.
2015-19 Maserati M145 GranCabrio: airbags may not deploy due to ECU
In August 2019, recall campaign 386 was issued for Maserati M145 GranCabrio vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 1 November 2015 to 31 July 2019. Due to a manufacturing fault, the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for the airbag system may be defective. In the event of a collision, the airbags may therefore not deploy – this increased the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17737.
