2005 Mitsubishi CT9A Lancer Evolution VIII: coolant leak and fire hazard
In September 2005, a recall was issued for Mitsubishi CT9A Lancer Evolution VIII vehicles manufactured in February 2005 due to the turbocharged coolant hose being produced with a material that lacked durability. At worst, the hose could deteriorate, allowing coolant to leak onto the exhaust manifold and cause an under-bonnet fire (PRA 2005/8081).
