  • In July 1996, a recall was issued for Mitsubishi JF 3000GT vehicles due to a condition in which a small crack may develop in the upper front brake hoses, causing brake fluid to leak (PRA 1996/2866).

Problems and faults: Mitsubishi JF 3000GT

  • As per the recall above, the front brake hoses were susceptible to braking during full-lock steering manoeuvres when the suspension was also at its maximum travel; revised hoses were subsequently released.
  • The Mitsubishi 3000GT may experience fuel starvation due to a clogged filter in the petrol tank.
  • The Mitsubishi 3000GT may not start due to corrosion in the connector behind the right headlight.
  • Water may leak through the rear latch area of the sunroof.
  • RX-367 audio systems and rear CD changers may experience alternator noise through the speakers.
