Peugeot GS 4007: electrical malfunctions
In March 2016, a recall was issued for Peugeot 4007 vehicles because an electronic component in the built-in system interface (BSI) was potentially faulty and could cause malfunctions of certain electrical equipment (such as the radio, navigation system, windscreen wipers, lighting or the triggering of instrument panel warning lights). If the defect occurred while the vehicle was in use, it posed a potential accident hazard to the driver and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled Peugeot 4007 vehicles, please see PRA 2016/15246.
2009-12 Peugeot 4007: front windscreen wiper motor could fail
In August 2018, a recall was issued for Peugeot 4007 vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 1 November 2009 to 29 June 2012. In these vehicles, the front windscreen wiper motor venting device could allow water to enter the wiper motor, causing corrosion and motor failure. If the front windscreen wiper motor failed, the driver’s visibility in wet weather would be affected and this could cause a collision. For the VINs of the recalled Peugeot 4007 vehicles, please see PRA 2018/16960.

Problems and faults: Peugeot GS 4007
- There have been cases of clutch and dual mass flywheel failures as a result of towing due to the first and second gear ratios not being low enough to accelerate from rest without slip.
- The Eolys fluid used to regenerate the Peugeot 4007’s diesel particulate filter was stored in a container near the rear wishbone and vulnerable to debris when driving or off-roading. As such, the container could split and leak fluid; please note that safety precautions should be taken when dealing with the fluid.
