Recalls: Rolls-Royce Mk.III Silver Spirit

  • In August 1995, a recall was issued for Rolls-Royce Mk.III Silver Spirit vehicles that were manufactured between May 1995 and July 1997. In these vehicles, an incorrectly positioned wire within the gearbox actuator could chafe against the cover, causing the transmission selector fuse to blow. • In December 1995, a recall was issued for Rolls-Royce Mk.III Silver Spirit vehicles because identified batches of Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil (HSMO) may affect the operation of the distribution valves within the hydraulic systems (PRA 1995/2649).
