2014 Ssangyong Stavic: front shock absorber damage

In December 2016, a recall was issued for Ssangyong Stavic vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 1 May 2014 to 1 December 2014. In these vehicles, the front shock absorbers could be damaged if the vehicle was driven in specific, extreme conditions for extended periods of time. If the front shock absorbers were damaged, there was a risk of loss of control of the vehicles, posing a hazard to the driver and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2016/15810.

Ssangyong Stavic: ball joint damage and potential failure

In October 2017, a recall was issued for Ssangyong Stavic vehicles because the ball joint(s) could be damaged by high mileages or exposure to severe conditions. If the vehicle continued to be driven in this condition, the ball joint(s) could fail such that the driver may lose control of the vehicle.
