Recalls: Suzuki Baleno
Overview
Manufacturers, or importers, issue recalls for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Generally, manufacturers will inform the original buyers if their vehicle is subject to a recall and of the steps required to remedy the defect or fault. Please note that the recalls below (if any) are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.

2016-18 Suzuki Baleno: ISOFIX child restraint information
In November 2019, recall campaign SSR20 was issued for Suzuki Baleno vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 30 March 2016 to 1 June 2018. These vehicles were supplied with incorrect information in the Owner Manual in regards to the installation of ISOFIX child restraints. Owners may incorrectly install the ISOFIX child restraint system and this posed a risk of injury to the child in the event of a collision. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17948 (QLD) and/or PRA 2019/17945 (national).
2016-17 Suzuki A1K310 Baleno: loss of braking assistance
In September 2022, recall campaign SSR28 was issued for 2016-17 Suzuki A1K310 Baleno vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, the valve between the engine and the vacuum assist brake booster may swell under certain conditions. As a result, power braking assistance may be lost and increased brake pedal effort may be required to reduce vehicle speed and bring the vehicle to rest. Although the brake system would remain functional, this condition increased the risk of a collision and therefore injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005514 and, for Queensland vehicles, REC-005515.
