2018 Toyota NHP10 Prius c: hybrid system may shut down

In July 2019, recall campaign UGG06/UGG07 was issued for Toyota NHP10 Prius c vehicles that were manufactured from 6 February 2018 to 7 September 2018. In these vehicles, the 12 volt auxiliary battery may stop charging due to improper soldering on the circuit board in the vehicle’s DC/DC converter. If the auxiliary battery stopped charging, warning lamps would illuminate to alert the driver to a hazard. Prolonged use of the vehicle, however, could result in the hybrid system shutting down and this loss of drive would increase the risk of a collision. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2019/17651.
