Overview

Released in November 2011, the Great Wall V200 cab chassis available in a single cab body with four-wheel drive (please note that the petrol-engined V240 cab chassis is pictured above). Manufactured in Baoding, China, the V200 was powered by a 2.0-litre four cylinder turbo-diesel engine that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 2.0-litre GW4D20 diesel engine had common-rail injection, a variable geometry turbocharger, exhaust gas recirculation and a compression ratio of 16.7:1.

The V200 cab chassis was 5150 mm long, 1842 mm wide, 1770 mm tall and had a 3050 mm long wheelbase. Furthermore, the V200 had double-wishbone front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension.

Safety equipment

Standard safety equipment included dual front airbags, ABS and electronic brake force distribution.

The V200 cab chassis was fitted with ventilated front brake discs and rear drum brakes.

ANCAP testing

In ANCAP crash testing , the Great Wall V200 single cab utility received a three star adult occupant protection rating with a score of 22.07 out of 37 – in this score, however, 16 points were given by default for the side impact test. In the offset crash test, the passenger compartment lost structural integrity with protection of the driver’s chest, legs and feet rated as marginal; protection of the lower right leg was also rated as poor.

Features

Standard V200 features included 16-inch alloy wheels, a two speaker sound system with a CD player and MP3-compatibility, air conditioning, front fog lights, remote central locking, power windows, power mirrors and an immobiliser.
