Overview
Released in January 2007, the Proton BS Satria Neo was a small, three-door hatchback. Manufactured in Malaysia, the front-wheel drive Satria Neo was powered by a 1.6-litre CamPro four-cylinder petrol engine that was mated to a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. The Satria Neo range initially consisted of the GX and sportier GXR variants, but was expanded with an entry-level G variant in 2009.
Compared to the Proton CC Satria which it replaced, the BS Satria Neo was 85 mm shorter (at 3905 mm), 20 mm wider (1710 mm) and 60 mm taller (1420 mm), though wheelbase length was unchanged (2440 mm). Furthermore, the BS Satria Neo had MacPherson strut fronts suspension and independent, multi-link rear suspension (both with coil springs, hydraulic shock absorbers and anti-roll bars).
