Review: Peugeot G9.I Expert (2008-12)
Overview
Released in September 2008, the Peugeot G9 Phase I (G9.I) Expert was a three-seat van available in medium (L1) and long wheelbase (L2) bodies. All models were powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, though the Professional edition had higher power and torque outputs.

Safety equipment
Standard safety equipment for the G9.I Expert included a driver’s airbag, ABS, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist and front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters. Electronic stability control and traction control were optional.
Features
Standard features for the G9.I Expert included a four speaker sound system with CD player, air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control with speed limiter, steering wheel audio controls, rear parking sensors, cooled glovebox, rear fog lamps, left and right hand side sliding doors, remote central locking, deadlocking, tilt and reach adjustable steering wheel, height adjustable driver’s seat and immobiliser.
The Professional edition was further equipped with front fog lamps and adjustable pneumatic suspension.

Overview
Released in December 2012, the G9 Phase II (G9.II) Expert introduced a revised range as the L1 bodies and Professional editions were discontinued. Furthermore, a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine and six-speed automatic transmission were also introduced. Visually, the G9.II Expert could be identified by its new front grille and colour coded bumpers.

Safety equipment
Compared to its G9.I predecessor, standard safety equipment was extended to include electronic stability control and traction control.
Euro NCAP testing
In Euro NCAP testing , the Peugeot Expert received a three star safety rating which included a 59 per cent adult occupant protection rating and an 86 per cent child occupant protection rating.
Features
Standard features were extended to include a USB audio input, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, front fog lights and heated mirrors. The cooled storage compartment and power folding mirrors, however, were omitted.
